Publishing Policies

Advertising Policy

Maintaining trust in scholarly publishing requires a clear separation between editorial decision-making and commercial activities. The Emergency Medicine Physicians Association of Türkiye is committed to preserving editorial independence by ensuring that advertising activities remain entirely separate from editorial processes across all journals published under its auspices.
01

Editorial Independence and Scientific Integrity

Advertisements must not influence peer review, editorial decisions, or manuscript acceptance and rejection processes under any circumstances. Editorial decisions are based solely on scientific merit, ethical compliance, and the academic quality of submitted work.

Advertisers, sponsors, and other commercial partners have no involvement in editorial decision-making and cannot influence publication outcomes.

02

Acceptability and Presentation of Advertisements

All advertisements published in the journals must:

  • Comply with applicable national legislation and internationally recognized publication ethics standards.
  • Avoid misleading, deceptive, unethical, or otherwise inappropriate content.
  • Be clearly distinguishable from editorial and scholarly content.
  • Ensure that sponsored content, promotional materials, and commercial announcements are clearly identified through appropriate labeling and presentation.
03

Review and Acceptance of Advertisements

Advertising materials are reviewed by the appropriate unit authorized by the Association.

The Association reserves the right to reject, remove, or decline advertisements that:

  • Are inconsistent with the principles of scholarly publishing,
  • Violate ethical standards,
  • Contain misleading information or are considered contrary to the public interest.
04

Transparency and Management of Conflicts of Interest

The Association is committed to transparency in all advertising activities. Any potential conflicts of interest arising from commercial relationships are managed in a manner that safeguards editorial independence.

Advertising revenue, sponsorship arrangements, and other commercial relationships must not influence editorial evaluation or publication decisions.
