Role of the Association
The Association recognizes that identifying, disclosing, and appropriately managing conflicts of interest is a shared responsibility of authors, reviewers, and editors. Accordingly;
- The conflict of interest policies of the journals are implemented in accordance with the recommendations of ICMJE and COPE.
- Conflict of interest disclosure forms are made available through the relevant journal websites, and published articles include a conflict of interest statement.
- Editorial processes are conducted transparently, independently, and free from undue influence.
- Editorial assessments are assigned to individuals without relevant conflicts of interest to minimize the impact of disclosed conflicts on editorial decisions.
- Undisclosed or subsequently identified conflicts of interest are evaluated and managed in accordance with COPE guidance.
