Copyright and Licensing Policy

Copyright Ownership

Copyright ownership of published articles is determined in accordance with the publishing model of the relevant journal and the agreement concluded with the authors.

Upon submission, authors are required to confirm that:

• The manuscript is original,
• It has not been published previously,
• It is not under consideration by another journal,
• It does not infringe the copyright or intellectual property rights of any third party.

Following acceptance, authors may be required to sign a copyright transfer agreement, a license to publish, or an equivalent document, depending on the policy of the relevant journal.

Licensing

The licensing model applied to published articles may vary between journals. Open access content may be published under a Creative Commons license or another open access license selected by the relevant journal.

The applicable license and the conditions governing the use of the article are clearly stated:

• On the article webpage,
• In the article PDF,
• On the journal's copyright and licensing webpage.

Users may use published content only within the terms permitted by the license applicable to the relevant article.

Authors' Responsibilities

Authors are responsible for:

• Ensuring the originality of their work,
• Properly acknowledging third-party materials,
• Obtaining all necessary permissions,
• Complying with the copyright and licensing conditions of the relevant journal.

Use of Published Content

The sharing, reproduction, adaptation, commercial use, or creation of derivative works is governed by the license applicable to the relevant article.

Uses that fall outside the scope of the applicable license may require prior permission from the copyright holder or the authorized office of the relevant journal.

Permissions and Licensing Requests

Requests concerning copyright, reuse of content, or special permissions should be directed to the editorial office of the relevant journal.

The current copyright and licensing conditions of each journal are published on the journal's Copyright and Licensing webpage.

Institutional Commitment

The Emergency Medicine Physicians Association of Türkiye considers the protection of intellectual property rights, the transparent communication of licensing conditions, and the ethical and lawful use of scholarly content to be fundamental responsibilities of academic publishing.
