Data Availability and Reproducibility Policy

The Emergency Medicine Physicians Association of Türkiye is committed to promoting transparency, data accessibility, and research reproducibility across the journals published under its auspices. This policy encourages responsible data sharing while supporting the verification and reproducibility of published research.

Data Reporting and Research Integrity

Authors are expected to:

  • Report research findings accurately, completely, and transparently,
  • Refrain from data fabrication, falsification, selective reporting, or other forms of research misconduct,
  • Describe research methods, analyses, and materials in sufficient detail to enable reproducibility where reasonably possible,
  • Properly acknowledge and cite relevant prior research.

Data Sharing

Where appropriate and in the absence of ethical, legal, or contractual restrictions, authors are encouraged to deposit research data in reliable data repositories and provide information on how the data can be accessed.

Where data cannot be shared, the reasons for the restriction and any applicable access conditions should be clearly explained.

Authors may be required to provide a Data Availability Statement in accordance with the policy of the relevant journal.

Materials Supporting Reproducibility

To enhance the reproducibility of published research, authors are encouraged, where appropriate, to make available:

  • Statistical analysis code,
  • Software scripts,
  • Additional methodological documentation,
  • Information regarding research materials.
Any shared data or supplementary materials must comply with applicable data protection legislation, ethical requirements, and other relevant legal obligations.

Editorial Assessment

Editors and reviewers may request access to additional data, analytical outputs, or supporting materials where necessary to evaluate the validity of the reported findings.

Where essential supporting information is unavailable or the reported data are insufficient to support the conclusions, the manuscript may be returned for revision or rejected following editorial evaluation.
